The Chaseley Trust is a Charity owned specialist Nursing Home, located in a lovely seafront position in Eastbourne. We are currently recruiting a Night Manager / Clinical Lead (RGN/RMN). You’ll play a vital role in supporting the Deputy Manager in the daily operations of our care home, leading a committed team with enthusiasm and dedication. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate clinical excellence in relation to clinical reasoning and decision making when managing complex cases. Support the Clinical Development Lead and Clinical Support Manager in their roles with team development and assist the registered nurses, Senior Practice Nurses and Team Leaders in their daily roles. Provide direct clinical interventions at an Advanced Practitioner level to an agreed number of service users. Demonstrate commitment to the provision of compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.

You are required to have current NMC registration and must be able to evidence post-qualification clinical experience and training and practice at Advanced Practitioner level. You will also have a proven track record of working collaboratively with adults experiencing substantial and complex problems. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate specialist clinical knowledge underpinned by theory and experience, demonstrating excellent clinical reasoning and decision making skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Leadership and Support: Work closely with the Deputy Manager to ensure the smooth running of the service, providing strong leadership and support to the care team.
  • Relationship Building: Form and maintain strong, positive relationships with residents, their families, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage the care team with confidence, ensuring all staff are motivated and well-supported in their roles.
  • Staff Development: Provide ongoing training and support to staff, helping them to develop their skills and advance in their careers. Working in tandem with the Clinical Development Lead on Days to ensure each team member has a personalised development plan
  • Resident-Centred Care: Ensure that residents receive the highest quality of care, tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Nurse: Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with a valid PIN.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with residents in a complex care setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, manage, and inspire a care team.
  • Training and Development: Experience in supporting staff with further training and development.
