Summary of Terms and Payment Conditions for Residency at Chaseley
As an independent charity, our aim is clear: to support every resident to live life fully. We deliver specialist, personalised care in a welcoming setting that promotes independence and responds to each individual’s physical, mental and social needs.
Our fees reflect the standard of care and facilities we offer, as set out below.
Weekly Fees
Residential care fees begin at £1,850 per week.
For nursing care, the weekly charge varies according to the level and type of nursing support required.
This amount is a guide based on a standard room. The confirmed weekly fee will be agreed upon following a pre-admission needs assessment. This enables us to understand the medical care and support required and to ensure that Chaseley can meet those needs.
If your care requirements change during your stay, they will be reassessed. This may result in an increase in the weekly fee.
Weekly Fees
For privately funded residents, the weekly fee will automatically rise by 5% each year on 1 April. You will receive prior notice.
Funding on Admission
Care can be funded in different ways, and arrangements may change over time. You must inform us promptly if there are any changes to your funding or care circumstances, including eligibility for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding.
If you qualify for local authority funding, the amount provided may not meet our full weekly fee. Local authority contributions typically cover standard care needs only. A “top-up” payment may therefore be necessary to cover the shortfall if you wish to remain at Chaseley. This is usually paid by a relative or another appropriate person. If a required top-up is not maintained, we reserve the right to end the placement. This should be considered carefully before accepting a place.
If you are privately funding your care, it must be financially sustainable. Before entering into a placement contract, we require evidence that you have sufficient funds to remain in the Home for at least two years. If this cannot be provided, we may accept a financial guarantee from a family member or other suitable person. Should fees remain unpaid after a written reminder, or if you no longer have the means to pay, we may recover outstanding fees from the agreed guarantor.
Monthly Payments
Fees are payable monthly in advance by standing order, arranged at the point of admission. Until the standing order is active, the first payment must be made in advance by BACS or card. This initial payment will be calculated on a pro rata basis from the admission date until the first full monthly payment becomes due.
