The Chaseley Trust is an independent charity-owned care home located in a stunning location on Eastbourne’s seafront. We provide specialist, complex nursing care for adults with a wide range of neurological and physical disabilities such as spinal injury, acquired brain injury, stroke, loss of limbs and progressive conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone and Parkinson’s Disease.

Chaseley’s quality care and rehabilitation aims to promote continuing independence by offering a person-centred approach to encourage everyone to have a fulfilling and enhanced quality of life.  The care we provide can be short term respite, permanent or day care.

The Board of Trustees are responsible for the overall governance of Chaseley and play a pivotal role in setting our strategic direction.  Trustees work in partnership with the Senior Management to help develop and deliver our objectives, providing skills and guidance to ensure that we are adhering to the rules and regulations we operate within and are compliant with all relevant legislation.

We are currently looking for new Trustees to complement our existing team and hope to appoint passionate and committed people from diverse backgrounds, who have an interest and insight into the issues facing health related charities. Trustees will use their experience and knowledge to contribute to the work of Chaseley’s Board of Trustees in an ethical and innovative manner.  A willingness to be objective, accountable, open and honest is essential for these roles.

We would be particularly interested to hear from candidates who have a Health and Social Care, Finance, Marketing or Fundraising background to complement the skills of our existing Trustees who meet up to 4 times a year.  The role of a Trustee is voluntary although reasonable expenses such as travel costs will be reimbursed.

If you would like to help shape the future of The Chaseley Trust, please forward your expression of interest to our Chair of Trustees Tracey May via email TMay@heringtons.net or for an informal discussion please contact our CEO Lesley Standing on 01323 744200
