Freemasons Raise Funds for 3D Printer

This week the Chaseley Trust was delighted to welcome Brian Norris and Tom Goddard, freemasons from Servimus Lodge (number 5832) in Brighton.

Several years ago, the lodge helped with funding towards a kiln, which is much used in our popular pottery sessions. Arts and crafts are always popular with our residents and day visitors, and some wonderful work has been produced over the years.

We are coming right up to date with 21st century technology as the freemasons have been raising funds to buy a 3D printer that was on our “wish list”. This means that we can design small items in the IT suite (using all the adaptations available in the IT suite for different disabilities) and make something tangible (such as a keyring or phone case!)

We were delighted that Brian and Tom were able to visit Chaseley to present us with cheques for £649.99 from Servimus Lodge and matched funding of £600 from the Provincial Grand Charity. Pictured accepting the cheques on behalf of Chaseley, were Ian Cole, Assistant Operations Manager, and Judy Pepper, Finance Manager. Thanks so much to the Servimus Lodge and Provincial Grand Lodge of Sussex for all the funds raised for this worthwhile cause.
